I am a full-time mom of 4 (yes count them-4) beautiful girls. I have a wonderful, supportive husband whom I love dearly and keeps me laughing. Between the 5 of them, they keep me inspired with plenty of material to write about.
In person, I'm one of those people it takes a while to get-to-know. I can be very quiet and reserved, but hopefully a good friend to those I hang around. I hate speaking in front of people. I am often very unsure of myself.
I love to read. I love the classics, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, historical fiction, mysteries and young adult fiction. I love BBC movies, comedy, and music. There is usually music of some kind playing in the house. I like to do crafts, but am not necessarily good at it. I am not good at housework. I'm not a morning person. I like sunshine and warm temperatures. I love flowers. I love to visit the ocean.
Why did I start blogging?
Once upon a time, I felt like I had a brain. I was one of those smart people in high school and college. That was ME. Then I got married, had a baby and started wondering where my brain had gone. Where was that "Me" I was used to? I couldn't shower alone (usually I have a game of peek-a-boo with one or other of my children, or that's when BAD things happen- like when Emma chopped all of her hair off). I can't carry on a conversation about history, society, grammar or something really crazy like, "Where do all the socks go?" with those little people who only talk about peanut butter, dogs, poop, colors, and numbers under 20. I change diapers, clean messes and count the hours until Daddy comes home.
So I decided to start writing. It was something I enjoy doing. Besides, it gave me an opportunity to record those funny stories that come up while parenting, and gives a chance for extended family to see pictures of my cute girls.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Please feel free to comment. I LOVE to know someone is reading my ramblings, and what you think.
