Ryan hardly ever uses facebook. I, on the other hand, check daily because I find just talking to the twins for hours on end is monotonous and occasionally boring. I like to pretend I am having conversations with people. Or just find out that there are others alive outside the confines of these 4 walls.
That said, I don't do the copy and paste statuses. No matter the cause it is supporting. Occasionally I share video clips or articles, but not very often.
The other day, a friend from church posted the following "status update" and made me laugh. It just didn't seem like a "me" thing to share, so I logged into Ryan's account and he shared:
Please copy and paste this as your status if you know someone, or have heard of someone who knows someone, that may know someone who knows anyone. If you don’t know anyone, or even if you’ve heard of anyone who doesn’t know anyone that doesn’t know someone, then still copy this. It’s important to spread the message. Oh, and the hearts. ♥ ♥ ♥ For crap’s sake, don’t forget the hearts. ♥♥
(I assume this is more funny to people familiar with facebook. Sorry, Grandma.)
I showed it to Ryan when he got home from work. He found it funny (whew) and was glad I had shared it with him.

I'm assuming you saw the one about Facebook charging users a week or so ago? My cousin posted this status that made me laugh pretty hard:
On September 31st, 2011 Facebook will start charging you for your account. To avoid this, you MUST get NAKED, stand on your dining room table and do the Macarena, all the while singing ”I Will Survive”. After filming and posting it to your Facebook wall and YouTube, then, and only then, will Mark Zuckerberg come down your chimney to tell you that your account will stay free. Pass it on.
